MEET RYAN COWSERT
NEW KIND OF LEADER FOR A BETTER SOUTH CAROLINA
Hi, my name Ryan Cowsert and I am running for SC House in District 6. I am a South Carolina native and also a father and husband to my beautiful wife, Ashley, and daughter, Arya. I am also a Clemson University graduate.

I grew up in Columbia, SC and was raised by a single mother. My mom worked hard to provide what she could to both my brother and me. Although she didn't make much money, she gave both my brother and me all the love she possibly could. This enabled me to have a strong sense of family. This love of my family has made me to want to change how politics work in our state. Too often, politicians run unopposed and are not held accountable for their actions. This must change!

We need to create a state government that listens to its citizens, becomes more transparent, and is held accountable when it fails to serve it's citizens.
I pledge to be a voice for the working class and for our teachers and police officers. I want to make this state better for everyone that lives here and to make it better for the next generation.

I also believe that the State Legislature must operate within their means. The state takes enough money out of the pockets of its citizens and they need to use that budget accordingly. I promise you that, unlike my opponent, I will never support a bill that raises any tax by 72%. I will also promise you that I will only serve this District for 6 years. I strongly believe in term limits and will impose those limits on myself. I do not want to become a career politician, like many of you I despise the political divisiveness and politicians that are hurting our state. However, I feel that in order to make this state better then I need to run and fight for those that have been left out for so long.
